Testicular Sperm Aspiration (TESA)
TESA is a simple male fertility procedure used to obtain sperm in men with Obstructive Azoospermia (blockage preventing sperm ejaculation) meaning they have suffered from vasectomy (missing vas deferens, the tubes that carry sperm out of testis) or other functional abnormalities.
In TESTA sperm are extracted from testicle by using a fine needle under local anaesthesia. The sperm produced from TESTA can be immediately used for ICSI or can be frozen for future use.
