Ovulation Induction

The Process of stimulation of ovulation by medication. It is usually used in the sense of stimulation of the development of ovarian follicles to reverse anovulation or oligoovulation, but can also be used in the sense of triggering oocyte release from relatively mature ovarian follicles.

Intra Uterine Insemination ( IUI)

Intrauterine insemination (IUI) involves a laboratory procedure to separate fast moving sperm from more sluggish or non-moving sperm. The fast moving sperm are then placed into the woman's womb close to the time of ovulation when the egg is released from the ovary in the middle of the monthly cycle

Invitro Fertilisation

A process by which an egg is fertilised by sperm outside the body: in vitro ("in glass"). The process involves monitoring and stimulating a woman's ovulatory process, removing ovum or ova (egg or eggs) from the woman's ovaries and letting sperm fertilise them in a fluid medium in a laboratory. The fertilised egg (zygote) is cultured for 2 to 6 days in a growth medium and is then implanted in the same or another woman's uterus, with the intention of establishing a successful pregnancy.

Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection ( ICSI)

This procedure is most commonly used to overcome male infertility problems, although it may also be used where eggs cannot easily be penetrated by sperm, and occasionally in addition to sperm donation. It can be used in teratozoospermia, because once the egg is fertilized, abnormal sperm morphology does not appear to influence blastocystdevelopment or blastocyst morphology

Laser Assisted Hatching

The laser assisted hatching is an additional lab technique designed to improve the efficiency of assisted reproductive technology procedures such as IVF & ICSI.

Sperm Freezing

Sperm freezing and storage is the procedure of freezing sperm cells in order to preserve them for future use. Sperm cells have been frozen and thawed successfully for more than 40 years. By using special technologies and then keeping it in liquid nitrogen (-196C) sperm can be stored for many years while still maintaining a reasonable quality.

Oocyte Freezing

Human oocyte cryopreservation (egg freezing) is a novel technology in which a woman's eggs (oocytes) are extracted, frozen and stored. Later, when she is ready to become pregnant, the eggs can be thawed, fertilized, and transferred to the uterus as embryos.

Embryo Freezing

Cryopreservation of embryos is the process of preserving an embryo at sub-zero temperatures, generally at an embryogenesis stage corresponding to pre-implantation, that is, from fertilisation to the blastocyst stage.

Blastocyst Culture & Transfer

Blastocyst culture and transfer is an important technique developed for in vitro fertilization (IVF) that maximizes pregnancy rates while minimizing the risk of multiple pregnancy. The ability to grow embryos for five or six days to the blastocyst stage of development in the laboratory, rather than the traditional three days, allows Shady Grove Fertility's embryology team to determine, with greater certainty, which embryos are really the "best" in terms of their potential for implantation

Diagnostic & Advanced operative Hysterolaparoscopy

Clinical problems that cannot be discovered by an external physical examination can be discovered by laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, two procedures that provide a direct look at the pelvic organs. These procedures may be recommended as part of your infertility care, depending on your particular situation. Laparoscopy and hysteroscopy can be used for both diagnostic (looking only) and operative (looking and treating) purposes.
